Anastasia Todamal, CPA, CGA. Owner
Anastasia has been an entrepreneur for 8 years, keeping close watch on government news releases and market trends. She’s an analytic and detail-oriented thinker, having worked within the accounting industry since 2001. Through her work experience Anastasia has learned that the most successful companies adopt a diligent, thoughtful approach to their financial reporting and leverage the expertise of teams to offer a variety of accounting, tax, and business solutions.
Graduating from University in Russia, Anastasia started her career at a local firm as an accountant and later on got a position in the government office as senior economist. Upon moving to Canada in 2007 she has continued her studies and career in the financial world. Anastasia moved on to work with larger firms and was most recently a Financial Controller at Cliff’s Towing Ltd. in Edmonton.
Anastasia has always made education a top priority – staying on top of new regulations and opportunities to help her clients save money and reduce their taxes. In terms of personal growth, she found there were a number of disciplines she could focus on and really took to personal tax and corporate tax, both planning and compliance, and accounting solutions for small businesses.
Anastasia initially obtained a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance in 2004, and later went on to complete her CPA designation in 2016. Most recently, she has completed the CPA Advanced taxation course.
Elaine Morrison, Accountant
Elaine has worked her way through various small company experiences, including branch level banking, and mostly in office manager/administrator settings. Even when working for various retail locations as her family grew, she was often promoted to supervisory positions. This allowed her room to grow and learn skills along the way creating a portfolio of various backgrounds in a variety of industries.
After working in a bank setting for almost 10 years, she started studying part time at Grant MacEwan College, focusing on Financial Management, but was re-exposed to the world of accounting and found she had a real interest in the checks & balances required for good detail orientated practices. Eventually attaining a bookkeeping degree, including some experience in payroll and corporate tax structures, she worked with Anastasia at Cliff’s Towing in the accounting department which is where they formed a friendship. Working part time for A&Co has allowed Elaine to gain more knowledge and accessibility to small company structures and diligent data reporting.
Always willing to help clients with their small business needs, Elaine can focus on full cycle reconciliations, allowing business owners worry less about the day to day data entry, and focus on their business growth. She has also been exposed to and has become proficient in the world of property management accounting and the expectations of condo board directors when creating monthly financial reports.
Tetiana Andriishyn, Bookkeeper
As a child in Ukraine, Tetiana first learned about numbers and balance sheets from her mother and father, who were both accountants. Because she liked math in school, it only seemed natural for Tetiana to pursue accounting. While working for Buchach State Tax Inspectorate in Ukraine as a tax accountant, she also earned her Master ’s Degree in 2006. Graduating from the University of Ukraine, Tetiana did some fascinating work as a bookkeeper. She was able to apply her love of math in many ways before she came to Canada.
In May 2017, she promptly enrolled in NAIT’s Office Accounting Systems Certificate Program while looking for work. Tetiana become a key member of the A &Co. team in July 2018 and prides herself in making sure her experience with A & Co. is informative and delightful.
Her work experience in Ukraine and her accounting courses at NAIT prepared her for the busy environment of A & Co. Tetiana is enthused about all the different tasks that cross her desk each day. The variety of companies she works with brings her many new experiences. Tetiana is grateful for the helpfulness of her coworkers and the mentorship of Anastasia, her Supervisor.
